Coronavirus and GDPT

Here at GDPT our clients are our biggest priority and we strive to keep them healthy while supporting them with their physical issues. We routinely work with clients who are at high risk including immunocompromised, and elderly.

For this reason, we have always had processes in place to minimize disease spread and feel comfortable that we can continue to do this through the coronavirus outbreak.

We have increased our efforts as we continue cleaning and disinfecting our clinic with medical-grade disinfectants and following all CDC recommendations.

We feel it is in our client’s best interest to continue to work with our clients to be able to manage their healthcare during this difficult time.

Be assured that if your provider becomes ill they will not be at the office and we will continue to monitor and update our policies as recommended for your health.

If you are concerned about your risk please talk with your provider, and you are always welcome to suspend your care during this time until this illness has passed.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide you healthcare and take this job seriously.

Current recommendations per American Physical Therapy Association;

1. Practice proper hand and wrist hygiene.

When you don’t know what you don’t know, then do what you do know: Wash your hands — and your wrists!

2. Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. If no tissue is available, sneezing or coughing into a bent elbow is recommended. It may prevent those around you from getting sick. Flu and other serious respiratory illnesses, like respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), whooping cough and SARS, are spread by cough, sneezing, or unclean hands.

3. Stay home when you are sick.

If possible, stay home from work, school, and running errands when you are sick. This will help prevent spreading your illness to others.

4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.

Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.

5.Cleaning and Disinfection

Using a cleaner that kills the virus between each patient for all surfaces the patient uses
