COVID 19 UPDATE JULY 2020

As the COVID 19 situation changes our clinic continues to try to change with it. As always your safety and the safety of our employees is most important here at GDPT. Here is an update on what we are currently doing as we follow the CDC and state recommendations.

  • Therapists will wear masks with all patients as we tend to work within 6 feet of our clients.
  • Clients will be spaced to minimize contact with as little time as possible in the waiting room and spent in private treatment rooms
  • All rooms are cleaned with viricide cleaners on all surfaces for your protection
  • We use bacteria resistant pillows that can be cleaned and minimize infection
  • We encourage all our clients to wear masks for their protection and the protection of our staff

Additional steps you can take if you are concerned:

  1. Telehealth – have a virtual appointment with your PT from your own home
  2. Wait in your car – you can wait in your car until your clean room is ready and we will text you when you can come up, avoid the waiting room all together
  3. Have your appointment first thing in the morning or end of day to avoid other people in all areas of the building

Do not come in if:

  • You have a fever > 100.0 or have had a fever in the last 3 days
  • You have had direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID 19 in the last 14 days
  • You have active symptoms of COVID19

You MUST wear a mask and notify our front office if:

  • You have traveled outside the state of Montana in the last 14 days
  • You have attended a large gathering and were within 6 feet of multiple people especially those from out of state such as a wedding or reunion

What to do if you have a cold or allergies

People still have other issues such as allergies or a cold that are not COVID 19 and it is hard to know where to draw the line.

  • If you have cold symptoms but no fever and feel well and a negative COVID 19 test you can still be seen.
  • If you have allergy or asthma symptoms that are controlled, no active sneezing or coughing fits and a negative COVID 19 test you can be seen
  • If you are unsure, please call and talk with your PT who can help you determine the best course of action that is right for you.

We understand this is a trying and uncertain time and we are here to help. If you need to put your treatment temporarily on hold, or if you want to talk about your concerns, please reach out. The added stress of the virus negatively impacts your health and we want to help and minimize that as much as possible.  Stay healthy!
